In PSHE this week, our Year 1 pupils at St Bega’s have been busy developing important social skills through role‑play activities.

The children explored different everyday situations they may experience at school, such as:

  • not sharing,
  • copying others’ work,
  • letting friends go first in the line,
  • and leaving others out of games.

Through role‑playing these scenarios, the pupils discussed how to act kindly and fairly, as well as the importance of saying sorry and making things right when mistakes happen.

It was wonderful to see how thoughtful and reflective the children were about their own actions. They shared ideas, listened to one another, and showed growing understanding of how their behaviour affects others.

These activities help to build strong foundations for empathy, respect, and positive relationships, and we are very proud of how maturely Year 1 approached their learning.

Well done, Year 1!
