Headteacher's Welcome
Welcome to St Bega’s Catholic Primary School. I hope our school website will give our parents, carers and prospective parents an insight into the life of our busy, friendly school.
St Bega’s is a school we are all proud of. Our school is a vibrant, positive place that provides a safe and welcoming environment in which to learn. Our children enjoy coming to school, are motivated by their successes and become confident, reliable citizens.
As a Catholic School, we seek to live out the values of Jesus Christ. We promote these values by our words and deeds recognising that every child is unique and is created in the image of God. Jesus told us to “Love one another as I have loved you” and we chose this as our school mission statement to remind us every day to go the extra mile for the children within our care.
St Bega’s has a talented and hardworking staff who provide an outstanding quality of care and encourage all our children to aspire to achieve excellent results. It is our aim to provide every child with the highest quality education and the opportunity to discover and nurture their individual talents- inspiring every child to grow in their faith and love of God.
Our work is underpinned by strong partnerships with parents and carers, governors, parish and the local community who play such an important part in the life of our school. At St Bega’s, we believe that a strong home/school relationship is invaluable to a child’s wellbeing and development. We are therefore passionate about involving parents in their child’s education and in the life of the school and work hard to support families to ensure the very best outcomes for our children.
