What is mental health?

Having a positive mental wellbeing is when you are emotionally well and behaviourally stable. If you don't feel this is the case, then there are lots of strategies that you can do to improve this.

When things are tough, everyone can feel anxious. Therefore, when this happens, we must ensure we look after ourselves mentally and take care of our own and family’s mental wellbeing.

How we can help

At St. Bega’s we understand the importance of mental health. To be successful in life, we need to ensure we are both mentally and physically healthy.  If you feel this is not the case for yourself, family member or child please do not hesitate to contact us.

Here is a Childline video that could help explain some common mental health issues.

ELSA - School Support for Children

We have a trained ELSA advisor at St. Bega's who will support your children with any emotional anxiety or behavioural issues.
Group or 1-1 sessions can be provided.

This support is available to every child if there is a need, regardless of background.  It could be that a child just needs to have a chat about their weekend or an issue that is bothering them whether it be large or small.  If you have any concerns about your child and wish to talk about it please give Mrs Norman a call or pop in to speak to her, all conversations will be confidential.
