Spring has arrived in EYFS, and our children have been busy exploring the wonderful world of life cycles!

One of the most exciting moments this term has been watching our chicks hatch. The children were completely captivated as they observed the tiny cracks appear, the first little movements, and finally the fluffy chicks emerging from their shells. It’s been a magical, real-life learning experience that they’ll remember for a long time.

To continue our springtime theme, each child has planted their very own sunflower seed. They’ll be caring for their plants over the coming weeks, watching closely as their seeds sprout, grow, and (fingers crossed!) bloom into tall, bright sunflowers.

This hands-on learning has helped the children understand how living things grow and change — and their excitement has been a joy to see.

A wonderful start to spring in EYFS!
