This week marked an exciting milestone at St Bega’s Catholic Primary School in Hartlepool, as pupils took their first steps into the world of news reporting through the Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust Media Correspondent programme. The Trust’s Media and Marketing team visited school to officially launch the initiative and introduce our new student reporters to the role.

With two of our pupils stepping up to fill spaces for the Year 5 team, the boys showed incredible resilience, teamwork, and confidence on such a big stage.
