On Tuesday, five of our boys represented St. Bega’s in the next stage of the Hartlepool penalty shootout competition, held at the Hartlepool Football Ground. With two of our pupils stepping up to fill spaces for the Year 5 team, the boys showed incredible resilience, teamwork, and confidence on such a big stage.

Despite a strong performance, St. Bega’s were narrowly beaten 3–2 by Jesmond Gardens. Although the result didn’t go our way, the experience of competing in front of thousands of spectators was unforgettable — and our boys rose to the challenge with courage and pride.

We are immensely proud of every one of them for their effort, sportsmanship, and outstanding attitude throughout the competition. Well done, boys — you did St. Bega’s proud!
