Today marked an exciting moment at St Bega’s as we launched our brand‑new Super Speaker certificates as part of our House Saint’s Day celebrations! These special certificates are awarded to children who are growing in confidence and developing their oracy skills — an important part of helping our pupils find their voices and express themselves clearly and proudly.
With pens and pencils set aside, our classrooms were filled with discussion, debate, listening, comparing and presenting. It has been wonderful to hear our St Bega’s voices ringing out as children explored ideas, shared opinions and built on one another’s thoughts.
Today also marked the end of our DT Week, giving us the perfect opportunity to share and evaluate the incredible creations pupils have been working on. From smoothies and iPad cases to lights and even delicious spaghetti bolognese, the creativity and problem‑solving on display have been fantastic.
A brilliant day of speaking, making and celebrating our talents — well done, St Bega’s!
