We were delighted to welcome Hartlepool’s Ceremonial Mayor, Carole Thompson, to St. Bega’s Catholic Primary School for an inspiring visit! Madam Mayor spent time with our pupils, sharing insights into her important role within the local community.
During her talk, she explained what it means to represent Hartlepool, the responsibilities that come with being Mayor, and the pride she feels serving our town. The children were fascinated to learn about local government and how decisions shape the place we live.
Our pupils asked some brilliant questions about leadership and civic duty. Who knows - maybe this visit will inspire some of our future leaders, and even a future Mayor of Hartlepool!
At St. Bega’s, we believe in giving children real-world learning experiences that connect them to their community. Madam Mayor’s visit was a fantastic opportunity to learn about democracy, responsibility, and the importance of public service.
