Our Year 4 scientists have been busy planning and setting up an exciting investigation to discover which liquid causes the most decay to our teeth.
To make sure it was a fair test, the children carefully planned each step. Instead of real teeth, we used hard-boiled eggs to represent tooth enamel and selected six different liquids to test—including vinegar (which didn’t smell great!).
The class predicted that pop will cause the most decay… now it’s time to investigate and find out!
This hands-on experiment is a fantastic way to learn about dental health, scientific enquiry, and fair testing—all key parts of our science curriculum.
